The Lake City Recreation & Tourism Department offers year-round youth sports programs. Football and Cheerleading in the Fall. Tackle football ages 7-12 and cheerleading ages 6-14. Basketball is offered in the winter to boys & girls ages 8-17. Baseball and Softball in the spring/summer. Boys ages 4-14 and girls ages 4-15. The recreation department also sponsors three annual special events: The Festival of frights held October 31, The Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, and Cookies and Ice Cream with Santa Claus in December.
