Boards & Commissions
The City of Lake City has several boards and commissions that provide important advisory, regulatory, and policy-making services for our community. For information on board or commission vacancies and other questions, contact the City Clerk.

Airport Commission
The Airport Commission, established pursuant to the Code of Ordinance of SC, Sect. 2-15, is overseen by seven members.

Architectural Review Board
Five Members serving two year terms, appointment by City Council. Membership should be identified by place numbers 1-5 with terms of office for members in the odd-numbered places shall expire in odd numbered years; terms for even-numbered members shall expire in even-numbered years; if any place on the Board becomes vacant due to resignation, removal, or for any reason, the Mayor shall appoint a replacement within 60 days for the remainder of the unexpired term, subject to confirmation by the City Council.

Housing Authority
The five-member Board of the Lake City Housing Authority serve five year terms as appointed by the Mayor.

Lake City Opportunity Board
The Lake City Opportunity Board is dedicated to fostering sustainable economic development, attracting investment, creating job opportunities, supporting housing initiatives, and enhancing public welfare in and around Lake City. The board consists of five appointed members who serve staggered terms of 1, 2, 3, or 4 years, ensuring continuity and fresh perspectives. Board members may serve up to three consecutive terms, with all terms expiring on January 30.

Lake City Planning Commission
Serving four year terms as appointed by the City Council, the Lake City Planning Commission guides Lake City's land use and community development through collaboration with the City of Lake City and members of the community.

Tree Board
The Lake City Tree Board is comprise of five members who are residents of the Lake City community and are appointed by council.
