The Continuum

After environmental assessments, remediation, and through partnerships with local nonprofits and organizations, the 10-acre property is now home to an architectural gem housing educational opportunities from florence Darlington Technical College, Francis Marion University, and more.

Cole Road Community Center
Repurposed after decades as a campus for technical college classes, the city-owned facilities on Cole Road are in the midst of a transformation into an enticing community and cultural center. Opening in mid-2024, Phase 1 of the project paves the way for redevelopment of the southern end of Lake City and the more than 60 acres surrounding the future hub of activity.

Formerly a timeworn parking lot, Lake City's Village Green in the heart of downtown boasts a permanent outdoor stage and promenade with shaded seating areas perfect for enjoying festivals and activities.
