The Easter Bunny threw out the first pitch at the Lake City Baseball/ Jamboree on Saturday, April 3. after Rev. Edward Graham Sr. Pastor of Amazing Grace Holiness Church gave the invocation. Cynthia Mallette, Director welcomed everyone and Mayor Lovith Anderson Jr. gave greetings.

All softball/baseball practices at The Blanding Street Park have been cancelled for today, April 13, 2021. The basketball court will be closed as well. Cancellations and closings are due to the spraying of the park. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and greatly appreciate your cooperation
The games were held at Blanding Street Park. Lake City Baseball/Softball teams along with the guest teams from Coward and Scranton participated.
We are growing, Blanding Street Ballpark has a new addition. Yes, we have a new basketball court here. Come out shoot some hoops, if you're ready, we're ready!
Our beautiful parks and recreation leagues give Lake City residents plenty of ways to play!
Our Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide a safe, hazard, violence and drug free environment for the citizens of Lake City and the surrounding community to recreate. We will strive to offer a well- organized program of athletics which will allow participants to learn the basic fundamentals of the sport, cooperation, moral development, sportsmanship and leadership.
The Recreation Department stresses participation and fun over winning with a goal of producing superior citizens as well as better athletes. Our motto is “Everyone Plays”

The Lake City Department of Recreation and Tourism offers the citizens of Lake City and the surrounding community an opportunity to participate in a system of organized athletic programs.

Athletic Volunteers
Volunteers for the Lake City Recreation and Tourism Department work extremely hard by volunteering their services year round as coaches for football, basketball, baseball and softball.

Facility Rentals
The Recreation and Tourism Department rents the big room at Lions Park for parties, showers, meetings and other events.
